Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Paediatric Neurosurgery for a 12-month contract. This role involves active clinical duties along with teaching responsibilities. In this position, you will join a team-oriented team at the John Radcliffe Hospital, responsible for a diverse range of paediatric patients.
With an emphasis on research and education, you will contribute to the training of health professionals while managing both elective and emergency cases effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage paediatric neurosurgical patient care and treatment
- Engage in a rotating on-call system for emergency interventions
- Conduct teaching and training sessions for medical students
- Collaborate on clinical research and audits within the department
- Maintain effective clinical governance practices Requirements:
- GMC with Licence to practice required
- CCT or equivalent in Neurosurgery expected
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric neurosurgery
- Competence in training and supervising junior staff
