Position Overview

We are looking for a data-driven Trade Analyst to support our sales team in optimizing Costco promotional performance, with a focus on analyzing IRI syndicated data and managing demonstration strategy through Club Demo Services (CDS). This role turns raw data into actionable insights and helps drive volume, visibility, and ROI across the Costco business. Other accounts at a later date can include Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Metro, Loblaws, Aldi, HEB etc.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze and interpret Costco IRI sales and shopper data to identify where demo support is needed or not needed to maintain sales threshold averages.
- Manage a $10M+ trade budget
- Manage the up-to-date accrual spend for all Costco regions globally.
- Support the sales team with weekly and monthly performance reports for Costco and other key retail accounts.
- Book and manage CDS or internal demos at the store level based on sales performance, distribution gaps, and promotional strategy.
- Manage customer trade budgets, accruals, claims, and deductions to ensure spending aligns with approved plans.
- Track and evaluate trade promotions, including ROI, lift analysis, and alignment with national and regional objectives.
- Reconcile trade spend, deductions, and accruals in coordination with Finance.
- Maintain dashboards and tools to visualize performance, identify growth drivers, and flag underperforming regions or SKUs.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Marketing on annual and seasonal trade planning.
- Monitor competitive activity and category trends using syndicated data tools.

Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.

· 3–5 years of experience in CPG, Retail, Trade Marketing Analytics, Sales Analytics, or Revenue Management.





· Experience working with Costco and/or major retail accounts.

· Strong experience with Circana (IRI), syndicated data platforms, and customer performance reporting.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, and dashboard reporting.

· Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools preferred.

· Experience managing trade spend, promotional funding, deductions, accruals, and forecasting.

· Experience coordinating CDS demonstrations and understanding Costco field operations is strongly preferred.

· Experience with SAP, TPM systems, or other ERP platforms is considered an asset.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
