Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload freight using loader or other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs for accountability and reporting purposes
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers,



excavation staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper securing of loads and adherence to hours-of-service regulations

Qualifications

- Valid commercial Class 1 driver’s license or Class 3 (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders/excavators or other loading machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and load security
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
