We are urgently seeking dedicated and energetic Medical Office Assistants to join our very busy clinic! THIS POSITION IS REGULAR PART-TIME, AND WILL BE SCHEDULED TO WORK LATE EVENINGS, ON WEEKENDS AND ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer behind the scenes, ensuring smooth daily operations within a busy medical office.
Your proactive approach will help deliver exceptional patient care, streamline administrative tasks, and support healthcare professionals in providing top-quality services. DRIVING SKILL REQUIRED.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures to create a welcoming environment
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency
- Prepare patient charts, update medical records, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
- Assist healthcare providers with basic clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms and assisting in minor procedures
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately
- Support medication administration processes under supervision,
ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinical spaces to uphold hygiene standards
Experience
- KNOWLEDGE IN MEDACCESS EMR REQUIRED
- PREVIOUS CLINIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- DIPLOMA OR CERTIFICATE IN MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT PREFERRED
- Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and medical terminology
- Experience with medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient information discreetly
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
