We are a thriving, privately owned veterinary dermatology practice with four locations and have welcomed two new doctors to our Vancouver clinic! At NWVDS you'll play an essential role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients. To support our new doctors, we are seeking multiple staff to join our collaborative and compassionate team.
We are seeking a Lead Registered Veterinary Technologist and a Veterinary Receptionist.

Lead Registered Veterinary Technologist: Professional Growth & Development
- BCVTA membership dues

Required Qualifications
- Preparing and administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
- Assisting with diagnostic and medical procedures
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
- Strong technical skills, including blood collection, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Providing client education and home-care instructions
- Graduate of an accredited Animal Health or Veterinary Technology program
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
- Current registration as a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Previous experience as an RVT is an asset, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
Veterinary Receptionist:

- Admitting and discharging patients
- Providing client education and home-care instructions
- Veterinary Office certificate or previous reception experience required, new grads are welcome

and maintaining medical records.

Your Role at a Glance As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience from start to finish. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Creating a warm, welcoming environment for both clients and their pets — your friendly demeanor sets the tone for every visit.
- Handling incoming calls with professionalism and care, providing accurate information and support.
- Managing email correspondence, including responding to client questions and coordinating with referring veterinary clinics.
- Scheduling, confirming, and tracking appointments, while ensuring the doctors' schedules remain organized and efficient.
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records using our practice management software — attention to detail is a must.
- Processing payments and managing the cash register, ensuring every transaction is handled accurately and efficiently.
- Prioritizing multiple tasks throughout the day while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and excellent customer service.
We’re looking for a receptionist who’s ready to grow with us and bring their very best every day. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Veterinary Office Assistant, Veterinary Medical Assistant, or Medical Office Assistant certificate preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in a veterinary or medical reception role.
- Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Cornerstone software is preferred for keeping records organized and efficient.
