The Role: The Vice-President, Investment Platform Strategy & Portfolio Management leads the strategy, governance and evolution of IG Wealth Management’s core investment platform programs. This senior leadership role is accountable for ensuring managed investment programs are competitive, scalable, advisor-friendly, operationally sound and aligned to the needs of affluent and high-net-worth clients.

In this role, you will provide strategic stewardship of key managed investment programs, including iProfile, SMA and emerging platform solutions. You will carry Portfolio Manager accountabilities, support tactical asset allocation implementation and portfolio governance, and provide senior leadership to investment and product governance forums.

Candidate profile: The ideal candidate is a senior investment platform leader who brings investment depth, commercial judgment, transformation discipline and advisor empathy. They have a strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, implementation, model governance and Portfolio Manager oversight, with the ability to challenge investment recommendations constructively, translate platform priorities into practical solutions, and ensure portfolio programs are governed with discipline.

They are equally comfortable discussing asset allocation, model construction and portfolio implementation with investment professionals; working through operating model and technology constraints with Operations and Technology; and solving the business-critical issues that sit between strategy and adoption so advisors can confidently use solutions with clients.





They are comfortable working with Technology and Operations to modernize platforms, reduce manual workarounds, improve scalability, elevate the advisor experience and strengthen the business. They also bring a strong understanding of the legal and compliance regulatory regime that governs the structure and capabilities of the programs and underlying investments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the strategy, governance and evolution of IG Wealth Management’s investment platform programs, including iProfile, SMA and related managed solutions.
- Ensure platform programs are competitive, scalable, advisor-friendly, operationally sound and aligned to the needs of affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Carry Portfolio Manager accountabilities, including oversight of model management, portfolio implementation, tactical asset allocation execution, rebalancing and investment program design.
- Chair or provide senior leadership to investment and product governance forums, supporting disciplined oversight, clear decision-making and appropriate risk consideration.
- Translate business needs into technology, process and operating model requirements that improve scalability, reduce manual effort and enhance advisor and client experience.
- Partner with Operations and Technology to modernize legacy workflows, improve straight-through processing and reduce reliance on manual workarounds and exceptions.
- Lead or support innovation across private assets, SMAs, structured solutions, ETF/fund solutions and other capabilities that help IG Wealth Management compete for high-net-worth and complex client relationships.
- Work with National Sales and advisor-facing teams to understand field feedback, test proposed solutions and ensure enhancements address real advisor and client needs.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Finance to ensure programs are appropriately governed, compliant, risk-aware and commercially viable.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, external asset managers, sub-advisors and strategic partners to support platform innovation and adoption.

Required Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in business, finance, economics or a related discipline; an advanced degree or additional investment-related education is considered an asset.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in investment management, wealth management, portfolio programs, managed solutions or platform strategy.
- Portfolio Manager registration, Portfolio Manager accountability or ability to meet applicable Portfolio Manager requirements.




- CFA or equivalent investment designation strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of multi-asset portfolios, managed solutions, model portfolios, SMAs, ETFs, fund-of-funds, private assets, structured products and portfolio implementation.
- Experience chairing or leading investment committees, product committees or similar governance forums.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional transformation involving Technology, Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk and Sales.
- Strong understanding of advisor workflows, product access, client reporting, tax and operational considerations that influence adoption.
- Strong commercial judgment, advisor empathy, transformation discipline and understanding of the legal, compliance and regulatory environment governing investment programs and underlying investments.

Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.
