SkatingHour is looking for enthusiastic and responsible Volunteer Skating Assistants to support our Learn-to-Skate programs for children, teens, and adults.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy skating, working with children, gaining coaching experience, or completing volunteer/community service hours.
## Responsibilities
Assist skating coaches during group lessons.
Help participants with basic skating exercises and activities.
Support young beginner skaters who may need additional assistance.
Help organize cones and other training equipment before and after classes.
Assist with keeping groups organized and ensuring participants follow safety instructions.
Encourage students and help create a positive and welcoming environment.
Follow instructions provided by the Head Coach or Program Coordinator.
## Requirements
Basic ice-skating ability is preferred.
Comfortable working with children and beginner skaters.
Friendly, patient, responsible, and punctual.
Able to follow coaching and safety instructions.
Available for weekday evenings and/or weekends.
- Previous coaching or volunteering experience is an asset but not required.
