Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper placement and secure transportation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards
- Assist with warehouse organization, including moving inventory within the facility to optimize space and accessibility
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and inventory records
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is highly preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification required for driving responsibilities
- Proven ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but training can be provided for qualified candidates
- Demonstrated experience in moving heavy loads safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and procedures is advantageous
