Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to maintain, repair, and improve manufacturing and facility equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and longevity of machinery, structural components, and other critical systems.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG and Arc welding to fabricate, repair, and modify metal components according to detailed schematics and blueprints
- Use plasma cutting tools, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to shape and assemble metal parts accurately
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine welding procedures and specifications
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy equipment or structural elements safely using cranes or forklifts
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery or structural components and execute effective repairs
- Utilize calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to measure materials precisely and ensure quality standards are met
- Assist with machining tasks as needed to support manufacturing or maintenance projects
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, and equipment operation




- Support assembly processes by fitting parts together accurately using hand tools and welding techniques

Qualifications

- Proven experience in welding with proficiency in MIG and ARC techniques; plasma cutting experience
- The successful candidate will hold a Journeyperson Welding certificate in Saskatchewan.
- The ideal candidate will have CWB certification or be willing to obtain this certification.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and assembly procedures
- Ability to operate rigging equipment such as cranes safely; forklift certification is preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Construction or manufacturing experience with ductwork or structural steel is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding operations and machinery maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
