We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Wills and Powers of Attorney Clerk to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing legal documents related to estate planning, including wills and powers of attorney. Your expertise will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient processing of client requests.

Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and review wills, powers of attorney, and related legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage document filing systems using Soluno or similar document management software to maintain organized records.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to update client files and legal databases efficiently.
- Assist with administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and maintaining client communication logs.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking document statuses, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather necessary information for estate planning documents while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professionalism.
- Follow up in a timely manner with clients with unsigned ocuments.
- Prepare client accounts.
- Coordinate with other departments when wills and powers of attorney intersect with real estate, corporate, or estate matters.
- Conduct research as requested by lawyers.
- Ensure compliance with Law Society rules and firm policies.
- Stay current with legislative changes affecting the area of wills and estate planning.
Qualifications
- Proven clerical experience (5-8 years) with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in proofreading, legal drafting, and research techniques.
- Experience with project management tools and document management systems.
- Excellent writing skills combined with strong verbal communication abilities for interviewing clients and liaising with team members.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing filing systems efficiently.
- Prior administrative experience in a legal is required (5-8 years).
- Strong organizational skills complemented by effective phone etiquette and customer service orientation.
