Strategic People Partnership
Act as the
strategic People advisor
to assigned leaders and leteamsPartner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, role clarity, and succession planningAnticipate people-related risks and opportunities and provide proactive, data-informed guidance aligned to business objectivesTranslate business strategy into scalable people solutions and prioritiesSenior Advisory, Risk & Employee Relations
Lead and oversee complex employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, accommodations, and exitsAdvise leaders on high-impact people decisions, balancing employee experience, business needs, and legal riskServe as a senior escalation point for sensitive or high-risk people mattersLegislative Foresight & Compliance Leadership
Monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation and emerging People-related regulatory requirementsProactively advise leaders and People Business Partners on the implications of legislative changesPartner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and Operations to ensure policies, practices, and programs remain compliant and alignedLead updates to policies, processes, and leader guidance to reflect legislative and regulatory changesMentorship & People Team Leadership
Provide mentorship, coaching, and day-to-day guidance to People Business Partners, supporting capability development and consistency of practiceSet standards for high-quality business partnering, decision-making, and documentationSupport onboarding and development of People team members as neededTalent, Performance & Organizational Effectiveness
Lead and continuously improve enterprise people programs, including:
Performance management cyclesTalent reviews and succession planningIndividual development planning
Ensure leaders are equipped and accountable for effective people leadershipEnterprise Programs & Cross-Functional Delivery
Lead or play a senior role in People initiatives such as:
Policy development and modernizationOrganizational effectiveness and scalability initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure people programs are operationally sound, legally compliant, and scalableWHAT YOU'LL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

7+ years of progressive People / HR experience, including senior-level business partneringDemonstrated experience mentoring or leading other HR / People professionalsDeep working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and compliance best practicesExperience advising leaders through organizational change, growth, or complexityStrong judgment and ability to influence at all levelsAbility to synthesize legislation, risk, and business context into practical guidanceHYBRID WORK WORKPLACE
