What You’ll DoThis position is responsible for all front‑end duties in the mailroom, including maintenance calls for the postage machine, preparing all outgoing mail bags, applying postage to all outgoing Canada Post mail, sorting incoming mail and couriers, scanning of Canada Post mail, handling mailroom communication and courier requests/deliveries, and mailroom email.Receiving, sorting, and distributing all external mail and courier packages, opening and sorting any unaddressed packages, sorting mail into appropriate slots, notifying individuals – as required using Envoy when their packages have arrived.Sending all internal mail and courier packages to satellite offices and stores, printing off the courier labels, bagging and sealing all mail, preparing bags with courier labels, sorting to cages for courier pick‑ups, stamping all Canada Post mail, and sorting to appropriate bins for pick‑up.Rerouting any misguided shipments to the appropriate locations or people.Overseeing the use of the postage machine, and notifying the Office and Facility Manager when postage is running low to arrange a postage cheque.Keeping a record of shipments for 30 days.Ensuring all outgoing courier packages have a completed Outbound Mail form with the appropriate GL Code noted, and that all paperwork for international shipments has been completed.Keeping the front‑end mail room and loading dock tidy and in order.Organizing the mail slots as needed when more stores are brought under the FGL banner.Recording all inbound courier packages using Envoy.Cataloguing all outbound mail items.Replenishing the Postage Meter when required.Assisting with incoming couriers,



signing for packages as required.Maintaining the order and structure within the loading dock, ensuring a safe work environment, and properly storing all skids, dollies and carts.Following up on any packages that have not arrived at their intended destinations.Providing tracking numbers to employees in a timely manner.Occupational Health and Safety Committee Member.Assisting within the team as required.Any other reasonable requests.What You BringExperienced customer service skills.Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).Ability to perform some heavy lifting.Familiarity with pallet jacks.Flexibility to work on short notice.Robust organizational skills.Outgoing and personable.Detail oriented and capable of working well under pressure and strict deadlines.6 to 12 months of previous experience with courier shipping systems – an asset.First Aid Certified (nice to have).BenefitsComprehensive benefits and retirement programs.Performance incentives and continuing education programs.Other perks to support well‑being.Career growth opportunities and product discounts.SalaryBroadband salary range: $30,000 – $50,000 CAD.Typical hiring range: $30,000 – $40,000 CAD.
