About the Client:

The client is bariatric, weighs 350+ lbs., and requires two-person assists when using lifts. They need support with mobility, personal care, meals, and light housekeeping, including help with bathing and dressing. They are looking for a caregiver who is steady, easy to be around, and able to build a consistent routine with them.

Responsibilities:

Mobility assistance, including transfers with mechanical lift equipmentTwo-person assists for all lift transfersPersonal care, including bathing and dressingMeal preparation based on the client's preferences and dietary needsLight housekeeping, including cleaning and laundryKeeping the home protected and comfortableClear, proactive communication about changes in care needs

Experience providing bariatric careComfortable and confident with mechanical lifts and two-person transfer techniqueComfortable providing personal care with dignity and respectAble to plan and prepare meals independentlyPositive presence that puts the client at easeTakes initiative and anticipates needsReliable and punctualStrong communication skillsFluent in English

Schedule:

Saturdays and Sundays, two visits per day: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Ongoing weekend position.

Additional Considerations

Split-shift schedule required: 12-2pm and 5-7pm daily with some flexibility. Client needs transfer assistance and bathing support. Laundry and cleaning included in daily tasks.

Client is bariatric and requires two-person assist. Each visit will consist of accompanied Ontario Health at Home support for two-person lifting.
