We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to enhance our residents' health through tailored nutritional guidance. This part time role involves travel between Trenton, Pictou, and Port Hawkesbury.
As a Dietitian, you'll assess the nutritional needs and progress of residents, ensuring their well-being through expert dietary recommendations. Collaborate with families during care meetings and document all dietary interventions effectively to track progress and implement necessary changes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze residents’ dietary and health requirements
• Research advancements in dietary practices for long-term care
• Implement nutritional plans to enhance quality of life
• Monitor and adjust dietary interventions as necessary
• Engage families in the dietary care process
Requirements:
• Degree in Foods and Nutrition or equivalent experience
• Required registration with Nova Scotia Dietetics Regulator
• Proficient in handling emotionally charged situations
• Strong decision-making capacity
