Job Description

We are currently looking for Home Support Workers to join our team travelling throughout Essex County. Must be willing to travel home to home throughout Amherstburg, Harrow Colchester, McGregor, Lasalle and surrounding towns. As a Home Support Worker, you will assist people in your community to live safely in their homes by supporting them with daily tasks and self-care activities. You will receive free and paid training in a full‑time 3 week in‑class program designed to teach you the skills needed to work as a Home Support Worker. Upon graduation you will be eligible for part‑time hours and benefits.

What you’ll do

u003li>Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per dayu003li>Prepare meals and assist with meal‑timeu003li>Basic housekeeping dutiesu003li>Provide companionship and support the well‑being of patientsu003li>Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathingu003li>Support for basic activities of daily living

This is a Union Position – Service Employees International Union Local 1 Canada, Windsor Essex County Union Classification: Personal Support Services (PSS) Salary: LHIN Funded PSS Rates as per Collective Agreement Location: County Area, Erie St. Clair District
