The Department Coordinator will provide administrative support to the leadership team as well as provide support with creative and development responsibilities as required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the industry and have robust organizational skills, with a proactive attitude.Key ResponsibilitiesScheduling and Calendar ManagementManage all scheduling requirements for the President and SVP, DevelopmentAssist with scheduling for the VP of Production, for non-production meetingsOversee scheduling for the Director of Development and Manager of Scripted Development, as well as coordinating the Scripted Development team's activitiesCoordinate pitch meetings with broadcasters and schedule writer generals and pitches with agenciesArrange meetings with producers, writers, and industry professionalsCoordinate comprehensive trips to industry conferences, including meeting schedules, event logistics and travel.Screen incoming requests to determine priority level, including visitors, phone calls, and incoming mailCommunication and CoordinationFacilitate key internal team meetings and coordinate with various team members as requiredHandle document signatures via DocuSign and return them to the appropriate departmentsPrepare and file monthly expense reports for the President, SVP of Development, and VP of ProductionOrganize catered lunches for team gatherings, broadcaster meetings,



and C-suite eventsAssist the communications team with corporate events and gift-givingDownload and distribute national television ratings to relevant stakeholders as neededCreate presentations for Town Halls and Board MeetingsCreative/DevelopmentTrack industry trends, broadcaster preferences, and streaming platform requirementsUpdate the slate database with weekly progress reportsCollaborate on submission tracking using AirTableDevelop slate overview documents for active projects and present them to key stakeholdersResearch potential projects and create one-sheets for series conceptsCreate pitch decks for presentations to broadcastersOrganize talent trackers in AirTable and ensure corresponding materials are up to dateQualifications and Skills1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in the entertainment industryHighly organized and dynamic, with ability to manage multiple tasks under tight time framesA self-starter who is able to work both independently and function well within a teamDemonstrates strong independent judgment and a high degree of interpersonal effectiveness to be able to deal with stakeholders across various levels of the organizationStrong relationship builder with the ability to interact respectfully and confidently with internal colleagues and external contactsAbility to manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met by prioritizing workflowDemonstrated discretion and confidence in dealing with highly sensitive mattersExcellent skills in Canva and MS Office, particularly with PowerPointSalary Range$55,000 to $65,000Taking care: competitive health and dental coverage plus dedicated Health Spending AccountInvestment in your future : Group RRSP with employer matchBe inspired: regular film screenings and opportunity to get involved in industry eventsAbout Lionsgate CanadaLionsgate Canada is a talent-driven leader in entertainment production and distribution, serving Canadian and global audiences with award-winning content and a massive film and television library.
