Our Caymes, Ontario site is home to Novocol Pharma – a thriving center of innovation with over 40 years of expertise in sterile injectable cartridges and combination product manufacturing.Job SummaryThe Purchaser reports to the Planning & Purchasing Manager and is responsible for ensuring the availability of materials required for production. The role manages API, raw material, packaging material, operating supply, spare parts and indirect material inventory, working capital, and safety stock strategy. The Purchaser also facilitates projects related to new products and modified production processes and technologies.ResponsibilitiesRun Material Requirement Planning (MRP), conduct analysis and place purchase orders to meet production plans and maintain inventory.Create purchase requisitions for approval.Maintain operational data in the ERP system.Monitor material arrival and quality disposition to support scheduling.Collect and transfer documentation (MSDS, certificates, etc.) to the appropriate department.Monitor the release of items.Validate supplier invoices or contact suppliers to resolve disputes.Track received orders in terms of quantity and reconcile discrepancies.Monitor supplier communications (acknowledgments, delivery dates, quantities, prices).Initiate rejected material processes in the ERP system.Participate in reviewing departmental SOPs and other GMP documents.Prepare quality system documents (Change Control Requests, etc.) as outlined in the QA program.Generate monthly forecasts and reports for main suppliers.Act as a backup for placing POs for other team purchasers.Follow GMP and regulatory requirements,
