Our Fredericton location is looking for a Cyber Security Software Developer Student to support software development, testing, and writing supporting documentation.

Number of Positions: 1
Duration: 4-8 Months (Jan-April/Aug)
Field of Study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science, or applied technology programs related to these disciplines.
Year of study: 1st Year or Higher

What you will be doing!

- Supporting the development of CNL's Security Model Database.
- Performing front-end software development activities.
- Conducting software testing to support development efforts.
- Writing supporting documentation for the Security Model Database.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

- Education
- Currently enrolled at an academic institution of good standing in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or applied technology programs related to these disciplines.

- Experience

- Previous experience with cyber security, particularly in a research setting is an asset.
- Experience with C#, Blazor, and the .NET framework is an asset

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong, systematic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a strong safety and security culture.
- Curiosity,



with a demonstrated ability to carry out research or independent study and propose practical solutions that address real-world constraints.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong programming ability.

- Security Clearance Eligibility Required

- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
