Are you looking for an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in project management and business operations while working alongside experienced project delivery professionals? Can you see yourself supporting project coordination, governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement activities that contribute to successful project outcomes? If you answered yes, this may be the opportunity for you! Our Project Delivery Office (PDO) is looking for a Student to support a variety of project and administrative activities, including business reporting, document management, SharePoint administration, and project coordination.
All students applying for student positions at CNL must be returning to full‑time studies upon completion of their work term. Exceptions will be made for students who require a work term to graduate.

Duration: 4 Months (January - April)
Field of Study: Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce, Project Management, Business Analytics, Public Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
Year of study: 1st year or higher
What you will be doing!
- Applying project management principles, project lifecycles, and project governance practices.
- Working within a Project Delivery Office and supporting real project delivery activities.
- Participating in project and governance meetings and observing how projects are managed and delivered.
- Improved business communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Participating in project reporting, performance monitoring, and project controls processes.
- Participating in project risks, actions, decisions, and commitments to ensure all actions are tracked and managed throughout a project's lifecycle.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and business process enhancements.
- Participating in a highly regulated environment crucial for the nuclear sector in Canada and worldwide
- Learning valuable insight into career opportunities in project management, project coordination, business administration, and operations management.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Enrolled in a university program, majoring in Business Administration, Business Management,
Commerce, Project Management, Business Analytics, Public Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
- Experience
- Experience with data organization, reporting, business systems or AI would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of SharePoint administration, document control, and records management processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to gather information and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Interest in learning SharePoint and document management practices.
- Ability to gather, organize, and analyze information.
- Interest in business operations, project delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3‑5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
Working Conditions:
- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty‑seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
