Qualifications

- Grade 12 plus one (1) year of recent related experience in community and family services
- Experience supporting individuals and families experiencing barriers to participation.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral processes in qathet region.
- Experience with group facilitation, family programming, or community kitchens considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Training in trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, or non-violent communication preferred.
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check clearance.

Work is primarily based at the Community House.

- The role involves periods of standing, light lifting, and basic facility upkeep.
- May occasionally involve outdoor programming, evening, or weekend work.
- Interactions may include individuals experiencing distress or sharing sensitive personal experiences; the ability to respond with calm, respect, and professionalism is essential.
