Job duties

Read specifications to determine quantities of materials required

Prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding, sandblasting, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning; remove old wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls; and sandpaper and apply sealer

Mix and thin paint to obtain desired colour and texture

Have appropriate training in for access on high reach equipment

Apply paint or other materials, such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fibreglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment

Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls

Assemble and erect scaffolding and swing stages

terms of employment: Permanent full time;

language of work- English;

wages- $ 27.83 per hour for 40 hours per week.



All payments shall be subject to the usual statuary deductions for taxes, unemployment insurance, pension contributions, etc. as required by law. Vacation pay: Holidays: the following shall govern holidays:

a) Union vacation pay is 10 % in addition to the usual Statutory Holidays under the BC Employment Standards Act.

b) You shall schedule your holidays in consultation with the Owner of the company, and shall be subject to the working requirements and your work load.
