Temporary Part-time 3-5 Educator

Britannia Child Care Department envisions early education and care spaces where children, educators, and families walk alongside each other to co-create diverse, equitable and respectful communities.

We are a successful not-for-profit provider located in Woodland Drive, Vancouver, and have been serving the Grandview-Woodland community since 1973. Qualifications

Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications

- Current BC ECE License to Practice Certificate
- Current First Aid Certification
- Clear criminal record check
- Able to communicate well in English, verbally and in writing
- Minimum one (1) year experience of working with children aged 2.5-5 years
- Able to work Monday to Friday for a minimum of 4 hours/day and up to 7.5 hours as needed (staff coverage and ratio)

- Builds responsive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Uses pedagogical documentation and an observation, documentation, and reflection approach to inform practice and support children’s learning
- Co-creates emergent, play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and inquiries
- Supports inclusive, culturally responsive environments that honour diversity and Indigenous perspectives

Salary & Benefits

- Salary – $25.24/hour + ECE Wage Enhancement for ECE certification $6.00/hour
- Benefits – 9.2% in lieu of vacation, stat holidays + ESA 5 days paid sick leave
