Reporting to the Director, you will lead the "Engine Room" responsible for the flawless execution of core banking services. Your focus is on the account lifecycle management of our Chequing and Savings products, the daily movement of money, and the operational integrity of our transactional products. You will bridge the gap between high-level product roadmaps and day-to-day execution, ensuring that our "Single Hub" philosophy is supported by world‑class, automated operational processes.ResponsibilitiesOwning the end-to-end operational lifecycle of Canadian payment rails, including ACSS, EFT, Interac e‑Transfer, and Bill Payments.Overseeing the operational workflows for account onboarding, KYC/AML refreshes,
and debit card fulfillment.Leading the team in resolving payment exceptions, clearing errors, and settlement discrepancies with 99.9% accuracy.Driving "Straight‑Through Processing" (STP) initiatives to minimize manual intervention and scale operations without linear headcount growth.Acting as the primary operational point of contact for the Product and Sales teams for Everyday Banking initiatives.Managing daily operational relationships with third‑party vendors, including core banking providers and payment networks, ensuring strict adherence to SLAs.Building and mentoring a high‑performing team of Operations Analysts, fostering a culture of radical candor and continuous improvement.Ensuring all operational procedures comply with OSFI, FCAC, CDIC, FINTRAC and adhere to all Payments Canada rules.Supporting the Director in leading incident response protocols for core banking issues, ensuring rapid remediation and stakeholder communication.Identifying and mitigating operational risks within the everyday banking vertical, maintaining a robust control environment.QualificationsHave 5-7+ years of experience in Retail Banking Operations or Fintech.Have 5+ years of people management including training, development and staff performance.Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering,
or a related field.Have a deep domain expertise in the Canadian payment ecosystem (Payments Canada, Interac, ACH, Wires).Have a proven track record of managing operational teams in a high‑volume, digital‑first environment.Have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.Have a strong ability to design and optimize complex workflows for scale and automation.Are Proficient in using data to monitor operational KPIs and drive decision‑making.Are comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with iterative delivery cycles.Have an ability to translate complex operational challenges into transparent updates for stakeholders in Product and Sales.CompensationBase salary range: $140,000 - $160,000The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada).
