Client Service Assistant within BMO Private Wealth’s Nesbitt Burns platform supports Investment Advisors with day‑to‑day administration and client service, managing client relationships and ensuring high‑quality support across operations.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate marketing activities on behalf of the advisory team, including website, social media initiatives, client recognition for life events, and planning of client events.Assist the advisory team in preparing for client meetings, including scheduling appointments.Handle clients’ general day‑to‑day requests and inquiries, including basic money movement (e.G., wires, transfers), technology issues, account opening and updates, and follow up in a timely and confidential manner.Generate reports and documents for IAs and clients as requested and process items for client accounts and files.Maintain and organize client database and client files.Ensure transactions and tasks are appropriately assigned to team members and completed.Provide team members with support on technology issues, use of new technology, and general inquiries and escalations related to policies, procedures, and processing.Gather and distribute information on updates to training, guidelines, technology, and other business‑related information.Develop rapport and instill confidence with clients to promote a positive client experience, retaining long‑term relationships.Assist in managing a portfolio of clients to retain and grow relationships.Support IAs in individual client investment needs to provide professional, customized investment‑related advice, sales and services.Work collaboratively within the market,
BMO partners and the community to build relationships and deliver the desired customer experience.Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customers’ assets, maintain privacy and act in customers’ best interests.Protect the Bank's assets and clients' assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.Maintain confidentiality of client and Bank information.Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits.Analyze issues and determine next steps, escalating as required.Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying the Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with risk culture and approved risk appetite, making informed decisions that align with business strategy.Qualifications1–2 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.Knowledge of wealth management company and branch operations (e.G., client services, trust services, account transfers) is an asset.Knowledge of operational aspects of traditional and non‑traditional financial products is an asset.Familiarity with technology applications and software used in the financial planning and investment industry.Must have or be able to obtain Investment Representative licensing with CIRO and meet certification requirements for the branch or jurisdiction.Basic specialized knowledge, strong verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.Mandarin language skills are an asset.Ready to work in both Markham and North York offices.Base salary of $42,400 with eligibility for a monthly discretionary bonus.CompensationSalary range: $33,600.00 – $50,900.00 (Salaried & Commission).
