and industry standardsIdentify design and construction challenges and recommend practical, cost-effective solutionsResearch innovative materials, technologies, and methodologies to improve design quality and project efficiencyAssist in preparation of tender packages, schedules, and specificationsSupport contract administration activities including RFIs, site instructions, change orders, and drawing coordination with contractors and consultantsConduct site visits and field reviews to ensure construction aligns with design intent and contract documentationAssist with project close-out documentation including deficiency reviews, as-built documentation, and future PIP recommendationsStay informed on industry trends, technologies, and evolving building standardsContribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives and ongoing professional development opportunitiesRequirementsDegree or diploma in Interior Design or related disciplineExperience in hospitality, wellness, hotel, or multifamily residential design preferredStrong conceptual, technical, and presentation skillsProficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering softwareStrong understanding of construction documentation and consultant coordinationExcellent communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesEducation & Experience Requirements4-year Bachelor of Interior Design degreeMembership or eligibility for membership in a relevant professional associationPossess a minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in a planning and development, project coordination, or architectural design & drafting role, preferably in the mid to large scale multi-family and hospitality, spa & wellness development fieldPrevious experience working on interior design projects, including renovations and new builds, is an assetStrong base of construction knowledge for mid to large scale developmentsFamiliarity with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient building practices is desirableTechnical RequirementsExceptional knowledge base and skill with AutoCAD and RevitAbility to produce 3D renders – SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, or equivalentStrong skills in Microsoft Office, and/or Bluebeam & Adobe Creative Cloud programsPosition & Workplace DetailsLocation: Canmore or Calgary ABFull-time, permanent, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)Equal OpportunityBasecamp Resorts and Everwild are equal opportunity employers.
