About the Role

Our client is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as an Apprentice Diesel Mechanic in Kimberley . This program provides extensive hands‑on training in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy‑duty diesel engines and vehicles. You will work alongside experienced mechanics, learning to service trucks, buses, and other industrial equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals to develop a sought-after skill set in the transport and logistics industry of the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in performing routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes and filter replacements.
- Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
- Participate in repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Read and interpret repair manuals and technical service bulletins.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workshop and service area.




- Ensure all work performed meets quality and safety standards.

Requirements

- Grade 12 certificate with a focus on Mathematics and Physical Science.
- A strong interest in diesel engines and heavy vehicles.
- Good problem‑solving skills and a logical approach to diagnostics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Physical stamina and dexterity are essential for the role.
- Willingness to commit to the full apprenticeship duration and training.
