The successful candidate will be expected to take technical ownership of water resources assignments while working within Pinchin’s structured project execution and peer‑review framework.Reporting to Operations Manager - Water, you will play a key role in planning, designing, modelling, and reviewing stormwater management and drainage systems, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and advising clients with confidence and credibility.Your ImpactIn this role, you will be relied upon for both technical depth and practical problem‑solving:Undertake and support the design of stormwater management and water resources engineering projects for commercial, industrial, municipal, and provincial clientsApply hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to the planning and design of drainage systems, stormwater facilities, and watercourse worksDesign and assess:Stormwater management facilities (quantity and quality control)Low Impact Development (LID)



measuresStorm sewer systemsOpen channels and modified or natural watercoursesComplete hydrotechnical evaluations and designs in support of:Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) infrastructure projectsMTO roadway, drainage, and structure designsConduct and review watercourse management assessments, including:Erosion controlWater quality considerationsSlope stabilityNatural channel design and restorationSupport watershed and sub-watershed studies and floodplain mapping assignmentsPrepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings suitable for submission to municipalities, conservation authorities, and provincial agenciesCoordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholdersProvide technical guidance to junior staff and participate in internal peer reviewContribute technical input to proposals and project planning, as requiredWhat You’ll Bring to PinchinThe ideal candidate is technically independent, values collaboration and structured peer review, has hands‑on experience with Ontario regulatory approval processes, and communicates effectively with clients, regulators, and project teams.Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Water Resources focus)8+ years of Ontario‑based experience in stormwater management and water resources design (commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure projects)Skilled Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with PEOExperience in other provinces (e.G., BC or Alberta) is an assetStrong hydrotechnical experience, including stormwater facilities, LIDs, storm sewers, and watercoursesExperience supporting commercial/industrial developments, municipal infrastructure, and MTO projectsPractical knowledge of watercourse management, erosion control, water quality, slope stability, and natural channel designExperience with watershed studies and floodplain mappingProficiency with hydraulic and hydrologic modelling tools (SWMM, HEC‑RAS, or equivalent)Proficiency with design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation,
