Position Summary

Our Rapid Response Guard is the first on scene for priority calls across our Victoria sites - the most dynamic role on our team, and the highest-paid. This role requires professionalism, strong judgment, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner.
- Utilize tact and diplomacy while interacting with patrons, clients, and unauthorized individuals.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive.
- Maintain and enforce access control procedures, including managing trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair and protected manner.
- Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and identify potential risks or incidents.
- Investigate incidents and occurrences and draft detailed incident and occurrence reports.
- Maintain a detailed memo book and ensure accurate reporting on all matters.
- De-escalate emergency and crisis situations using sound judgment and communication.




- Assist emergency responders and law enforcement personnel as required.
- Provide support with line management, customer service, and daily operations as directed.

Required Qualifications

- Valid BC Security Worker Licence
- Valid OFA Certificate (OFA 2 preferred)
- Advanced Security Training (AST)
- Strong English communication skills (verbal + written reports)
- Security or customer service experience; internal candidates require 6 months.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and make sound decisions in high-stress situations

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Loss Prevention / Retail Security is an asset.
- Demonstrated professionalism with the ability to utilize tact and diplomacy on duty.
- Strong attention to detail, observational awareness, and report writing skills.
- Ability to retain and apply operational information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Comfortable working in busy, highly populated environments.
