PositionDescription:

CFIS is seeking candidates for Casual, On-Call Student Supervision Assistant positions in our primary division for the school year. The successful candidateswill cover absences of our regular Student Supervision Assistants and will workwith students in our grades 1 to 5 classrooms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to thefollowing:

- Provide thorough and active supervision ofstudents at all times, and developmentally appropriate behavioural guidance onthe playground and in the school.
- Supervise outdoor play, snack, rest,



andmealtimes.
- Assist in the implementation of the dailyprogram and instructional activities.
- Participate in maintaining a safe, clean,and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support children’s ongoing development andgrowth, in alignment with best practices in French immersion education.
- Lead and implement before- or after-schoolprogramming for students in preschool to Grade 6.
- Maintain professional attitudes andloyalty to CFIS.
- Participate in professional workshops orcourses.
- Maintain confidentiality about children,their families, and other employees inside and outside of the school; and
- Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

- Early Childhood Education certificationwith a minimum of Level 1 Child Care Worker required.
- Valid Standard Level B (Childcare) FirstAid certification.
- Fluent spoken French is an asset, notmandatory.

Prior experience with children aged 5-12 is desirable.The successful candidate will need to provide an updated Police InformationCheck with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to commencing work.

Compensation:

Theposition will be paid hourly as per the CFIS Hourly paygrid basedon relevant education and experience.
