Counterbalance Forklift Drivers in North York

Our client, a leading manufacturer for outdoor living products, is looking for a reliable Forklift Drivers to support their team in the North York facility.

This position includes general labour duties with heavy lifting upto 50lbs. You will spend half of time on forklift and half of the time doing manual labour work.

Regular Shift Timings: 6:30 am to 2:30 pm (Full Time Monday to Friday)
Work location: North York, ON (Steeles Ave. W & Weston Rd)
Pay rate: $18.50 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Execute heavy lifting manual labour tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Job requirements:

- Experience for1-2 years as a Forklift Operator/Material Handler within manufacturing or warehouse distribution.
- Must have valid forklift certification specifically in Counterbalance - both Electric & Propane.
- Robust mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Basic math skills for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift upto 30-50 lbs.




- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must Haves:

- Able to work in a high-volume working environment.
- Standing in one location for the majority of the day.
- General cleaning of plant areas.
- Ability to work within all departments of the plant.
- Must speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be Punctual.
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts.
- Fully understand and able to do different tasks as assigned.
- Must wear Steel-toed Safety Shoes in the facility all the time.

The Nature of the working environment includes the extreme heat up to30 to 40 degrees Celsius, loud machinery noise, highly physically demanding tasks upto 50 lbs continuously, strong plastic smell, and fast-paced nature of the work.
