Overview Part-Time English & Math Teacher/Tutor

Oxford Learning Kerrisdale

(Oxford Learning Centres Inc.). This in-person role is based at the Kerrisdale learning centre. Relocation packages are not available. Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Kerrisdale area. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels

Teaching online and in-person

Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies

Completing daily student communication updates

Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field, or university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered

Valuable knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum

Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level

Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding

Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory

Salary: $22 / hour

Schedule: Evenings; Monday to Friday; Saturday availability

Location: In-person at Oxford Learning Kerrisdale, 2115 W. 38th Ave., Vancouver, BC
