Junior Accountant

to join our team in Granby, Quebec. Role Overview

As a

Junior Accountant , you will play a key role in supporting our day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end/quarter-end closings, and sales tax filings. You will work closely with our local team and coordinate with HQ on various financial activities. Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Reporting: Book journal entries in SAP based on IFRS principles. Prepare monthly financial statements and report to HQ. Prepare footnotes for quarter-end closing packages. Categorize transactions according to the Chart of Accounts (CoA). Maintain vendor, fixed asset, and accrual master data. Tax & Audit Support: Prepare and file sales tax returns (GST/QST). Assist with sales tax and statutory audits.



Intercompany & Reconciliations: Handle intercompany transactions and perform account reconciliations. Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Experience:

1-3 years of accounting experience. Core Competencies: Solid understanding of general accounting principles, IFRS, and journal entries/account reconciliations. Experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation. Basic knowledge of cost accounting (IFRS) and Canadian/Quebec tax laws. Language Skills:

English is required.

Proficiency in

French

is highly preferred. Preferred: Hands-on experience with

SAP ERP (FI/CO modules) . Prior experience in sales tax return preparation and filing. Why Join Us?
