Outreach WorkerPermanent Full Time position ensuring the program runs in a professional, accountable and efficient manner with primary attention to confidentiality, safety and support of abused women. This role is a bona fide occupational requirement for women and non‑binary applicants.ResponsibilitiesAssist and support clients to identify and understand the issues of abuse in their intimate partner relationships, and coach them towards personal goals.Continuous assessment of client risk and need for ongoing safety planning.Oversee day‑to‑day operation of the program, ensuring guidelines and policies are adhered to and provincial licensing requirements are met.Plan and implement activities and special events for the program.Provide support to clients on an individual and group basis, including crisis management, emotional support, resource management, and life‑skills training. Facilitate groups on site and in the community.Maintain confidentiality, safety, and support of women; promote professional, accountable, efficient operation.Ensure effective program service delivery consistent with organization mandate and policy, legal, contractual, budgetary and other requirements.Recommend program development, policy and procedure formulation, and program evaluation to the supervisor.Promote public awareness of and support for the program through promotional materials, community events, public presentations and committees.Liaise with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals, and represent the organization.Monitor and authorize program expenditures and maintain financial records in accordance with procedures. Provide input for program budget.Coordinate outreach programs and document safety,



maintenance and equipment issues.Maintain related records, statistics and produce reports as required; submit appropriate records to supervisor and funders while maintaining confidentiality.Contribute to developing long‑range and strategic plans for sustainability, participation in outcome measures, ongoing evaluation.Attend staff and team meetings.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsA degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field and at least two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge of violence against women, feminist perspective, trauma informed practice.Experience facilitating financial literacy programming.Well‑developed interpersonal, counseling, oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of group process, facilitation techniques, applicable laws and benefits as it relates to the role.Excellent organizational, time and general management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work with older women team, and effectively with other staff, community members and personnel.Strong group facilitation skills, strong professional boundaries.Ability to cope with high stress setting.Ability to establish and engage in self‑care, wellness and personal and professional development opportunities.RequirementsUnion membership required.Successful criminal record check.Valid driver’s license.Standard First Aid Certificate.Work Hours35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm.Pay & BenefitsStarting pay rate: $29.17 per hour.
