Reporting to the Foreman, you'll assist in maintaining and repairing railway tracks while adapting to various out-of-town assignments. This position offers a blend of scenic views and vital infrastructure work, ensuring the safety and reliability of rail transport.
Key Responsibilities: • Repair and replace components of railway tracks • Ensure correct track alignment through ongoing assessments • Engage in emergency response efforts for outages • Work with hand tools for track preparation and maintenance • Conduct regular snow and brush removal as required
Requirements: • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License without restrictions • Flexibility for extended travel and wide-ranging shifts • Capability to lift heavy objects consistently • Successful completion of screenings for fitness and safety • Investment in metatarsal safety work boots
