Our client, a Tier 1 Canadian Manufacturer in the automotive industry, is looking to hire an experienced Tooling Manager for their North End GTA Plant.

Duties and Tasks of this Position:

Manage day to day tooling operations

Mentor, support and manage the tooling team

Supervise tool setup for product changes

Oversees the maintenance and repair of dies, jigs, tools etc

Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution for issues on the line as required

Estimations for design, build and setup for manufacture of new components

Experience/Skills Required:

Tool and Die Certified or relevant post-secondary education

Min of 8 years experience in stamping / tool and die roles

Minimum 4 years experience in automotive manufacturing

Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory or management role

Solid background in metal stamping, including manual, progressive, and transfer dies and welding

Experienced with maintenance of metal stamping and welding equipment
