We have an opportunity for an

Warehouse Department Supervisor

to join the Metro Operations Center team in the Halifax market. The primary job function is to plan and direct the daily requirements of thewarehouse standards, Shipping and Fleet Turnaround Team, as well as coordinate the logistics of all location management.

Responsibilities

Leads by demonstrating the highest standards of safety, and reporting all types of accidents

Maintaining warehouse standards and cleanliness

Manage operations evening and weekends





Communicates information and priorities to associates and ensures they have the direction and tools needed to complete their task; training, Coaching.

Manages associate performance through feedback and identifying training opportunities

Handles associate and customer concerns in a fair and professional manner

Location management

Back Orders /MRF/ and check trucks when required

Support Hole counts and Cycle counts

Inventory; assist with Receiving materials & storage

Qualifications

Can manage changing priorities in a fast-paced setting

Motivate others through their positive attitude to always be improving

Able to work nights and weekends

Demonstrates the drive and commitment needed to reach safety goals

A knowledge of products is an asset

Typical career steps are to manage large departments / Yard Manager/ Driver Lead/ Assistant Manager
