SiREM invites applicants for a 13 to 15 week internship during the fall semester of 2026. This 40-hour per week position offers aspiring scientists the prospect to work closely with experienced professionals on groundwater remediation processes.
Interns will engage in key laboratory functions while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general laboratory support and administrative tasks
Conduct chemical analyses including colorimetric tests
Sample bench-scale reactors with groundwater and soils
Create graphs and charts from test results
Calibrate laboratory instruments regularly
Requirements:
University degree in biology, chemistry, or environmental science
Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
Ability to follow standard operating procedures
Familiarity with sample preparation protocols
Solid documentation and Excel proficiency
