About the Role
MCM Electrical Services is a growing industrial electrical contracting company specializing in motor control, VFDs, soft starters, PLC/SCADA, and instrumentation for industrial equipment. We're hiring a licensed Journeyperson Electrician for our afternoon maintenance shift. This is a chance to join a growing business with room to shape how things are run.

Shift: Afternoons, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Employment type: Full time
Start date: Immediate

What the Job Entails
PLC-based control systems — installation, troubleshooting, and minor programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
Soft starter and VFD commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis
Motor control and control wiring for industrial equipment (conveyors, pumps, and similar heavy equipment)
Panel wiring, motor sizing, and protection per CEC requirements
Diagnosing and resolving communication faults on industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP)




Preventive and reactive maintenance on industrial electrical systems
Reading and working from electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs;
Working around SCADA/HMI systems and basic instrumentation (level, flow, and speed sensing)
Site troubleshooting under time pressure, often on equipment that can't be down long
Maintaining documentation of work performed
Working independently on site with minimal supervision

Requirements:
Valid 309A Certificate of Qualification (or equivalent), in valuable standing
Experience in industrial or construction electrical work
Comfortable working independently on site
Available for afternoon shift hours
