Sherwood Park Chevrolet is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team, with primary responsibility for Accounts Payable.

This role is well suited to someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable learning new systems, and interested in developing their accounting skills in a busy workplace. Previous accounting or dealership experience is an asset, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who brings a solid work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Accounts Payable will be the main focus of this role, but we cross-train within our accounting team and there will be opportunities to learn other areas and take on more responsibility over time.

Qualifications:
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Processing and coding vendor invoices accurately and on time
Reviewing invoices for appropriate approvals and supporting documentation




Reconciling vendor statements and investigating discrepancies
Maintaining vendor accounts and responding to vendor inquiries
Preparing and processing vendor payments
Following up on outstanding invoices, credits, and account discrepancies
Posting and reconciling credit card transactions
Supporting month-end accounting processes and account reconciliations
Providing backup and support for other accounting functions and assisting with vacation coverage
Filing and maintaining accurate accounting records
Reception coverage as required
Other duties as assigned
