Electroneurophysiology (EEG) Technologist IIUnder general supervision, the Electroneurophysiology Technologist II performs standard and complex EEG recordings and provides support to the Seizure Monitoring Unit. The role may include Ictal SPECT injections (based on license scope) and involves performing nerve conduction studies (EMG), intraoperative monitoring, and evoked potentials in lab or ICU settings. The technologist assists in training junior personnel, operates and troubleshoots equipment, and maintains accurate patient records. Travel to other adult acute care sites in the Calgary Zone is required.Key ResponsibilitiesDetermine appropriate ENP tests based on clinical history, findings, and protocols.Provide real-time feedback to surgeons for early detection of intraoperative injury.Resolve complex cases referred by EEG Technologist I’s and refer to appropriate specialists.Implement, maintain, and assess quality control procedures.Participate in recruitment, selection,



and orientation of current staff.Offer technical and problem‑solving guidance to other EEG Technologists.Required QualificationsActive or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT or ACDMTT).Graduation from a formal electrophysiology program or equivalent training.Successful completion of Canadian Board of Registration of EEG Technologists (CBRET) examinations.Successful completion of Board of Registration of Electromyography of Canada (BRETC) examinations or Certification Examination in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).English language fluency per ACMDTT policy.Current CPR certification.Physical abilities: prolonged sitting/standing, pushing/pulling equipment, assisting with patient transfers, and sustained awkward postures.Preferred QualificationsMinimum 3‑5 years of experience in a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab.ACMDTT ictal SPECT injection enhanced practice authorization desired.ACMDTT Intraoperative Monitoring enhanced practice preferred.Proven leadership, teamwork, time‑management, and communication skills.Job DetailsClassification: EEG Technologist IIUnion: HSAA Facility PROF/TECHProgram: Clinical NeurophysiologyPrimary Location: Rockyview General Hospital (Multisite)Full Time Equivalent: 1.00Salary Range: $40.73 – $52.34 per hourPosting End Date: 09‑JUN‑2026Available From: 19‑JUN‑2026We are an equal opportunity employer.
