Job Overview

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in preparing and serving meals while maintaining a clean and safe setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, enjoys working with people, and is eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for our clients.

Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly following established recipes and safety standards.
Serve meals to residents or guests in a courteous and timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and food service equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation.
Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and hygiene practices.
Support inventory management by helping with stock rotation and reporting shortages or issues.
Follow all health, safety,



and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe setting for everyone.
Respond professionally to residents’ or guests’ inquiries about menu options or dietary needs.

Skills
Previous experience in food service, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
Solid time management skills to handle meal prep and service efficiently.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and sanitation practices.
Willingness to learn new skills related to food service operations.

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Antigonish, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
