Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to meet quality standards while ensuring a safe and clean kitchen setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a restaurant or food industry setting. Your contribution will help deliver delicious meals that delight our guests and support the smooth operation of our foodservice services.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to maintain safety and freshness.




Support the team during busy service periods by maintaining efficiency in meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation.
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate meal production and service.

Experience
Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Experience working in a restaurant or similar quick-paced environment is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet operational goals.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
Hubley, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
