Our client is currently seeking over 10 reliable and hard working associates to join their team. Our client is in the meat and seafood industry. They are currently seeking a Meat trimmer/Bandsaw operator for the day shift.

Position:
Meat Trimmer

Location:
Weston Road and Steeles

Shift:
Day Shift

Job duties:
Set up and run bandsaw machines (training provided)
Operate bandsaw machinery to process meat products according to production requirements.
Maintain high standards of accuracy while processing frozen and fresh meat products.
Perform essential tasks including boning out and trimming various types of muscles according to customers specifications.
Utilize knives with ease and control, and be able to portion accurately.
Ensure all product processing adheres to customer specifications and food safety standards.
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform routine maintenance checks.




Communicate effectively with other departments, including trimmers and pack-off teams.
Follow all GMPs (Positive Manufacturing Practices), safety, protocols, and company policies.
Regular lifting, movement, and maneuvering of 20 to 60 pounds.
Willingness to work long periods of standing, walking, and lifting.

Requirements:
Experience with meat trimming
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Team player who embodies Our Core Values
Strong communication skills
Flexibility to work overtime hours and stay after production day
Follow GMP’s, proper practices and safety rules
Solid numerical and basic math skills
Commitment to learning recent skills and knowledge
