Cold Lake is considered a rural or remote community. Employees who have been employed a full year for a minimum of 400 hours in “an under-served rural or remote community” will qualify for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness (if loan is in good standing). Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Labor and delivery experience is an asset but not required; training in obstetrics is to be expected and is offered on site. Neonatal resuscitation is an asset but not required; training in NRP is to be expected and is offered on site. Cross training to other nursing departments within CLHCC may be necessary.
