Job Summary

Pete's Appliance, is seeking to sponsor a motivated Appliance Technician Apprentice to join our service team in Lethbridge. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in appliance repair and maintenance, providing a valuable prospect to develop technical skills in a dynamic field service environment. The apprentice will work alongside experienced technicians to gain practical knowledge of appliance systems, electrical components, and mechanical troubleshooting, with the goal of becoming a fully qualified service technician.

This apprenticeship position offers comprehensive training opportunities for individuals eager to build a career in appliance repair and field service work within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

- Repair appliances at customers' homes and at our store
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing various household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens.
- Learn to interpret schematics and technical manuals for appliance repair procedures.
- Support the removal, installation, and assembly of appliances in customers’ homes or commercial settings.
- Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Participate in field service activities such as equipment repair, maintenance, and testing.
- Assist with diverse tasks related to the shop where we do in-store repairs.




- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each service call.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by communicating effectively with clients and ensuring their satisfaction.

Skills

- Valid driver's license required
- Enrolled in SAIT as an Appliance Service Technician
- Serious candidates who are not yet in the Appliance Service Technician program, but were in the process of signing up, are encouraged to apply
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and perform equipment repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
- Experience with refrigeration/sealed systems an asset.
- Basic electrical experience or familiarity with electrical components enhances job performance.

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
