We are looking for an experienced and creative baker to join our busy bakery team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with sourdough and artisan bread production, along with strong knowledge of day-to-day bakery operations. We are also looking for someone who is creative and excited to bring their own ideas to the bakery, including developing new breads, sourdough products and other baked goods.

Responsibilities include

- Preparing and baking a variety of sourdough products
- Making different types of breads, rolls and other baked goods
- Mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing and baking dough
- Maintaining sourdough starters and ensuring consistency in fermentation
- Following existing recipes and production schedules
- Bringing forward new ideas, recipes and product concepts
- Helping develop and test new bakery products
- Finding creative ways to improve and expand our current bread and sourdough selection
- Ensuring consistent quality, taste and presentation
- Preparing products for daily bakery service
- Maintaining a clean, organized and food-safe work environment




- Working efficiently as part of a rapid-paced bakery team

Qualifications:
- Previous professional baking experience required
- Strong experience with sourdough and bread production
- Knowledge of fermentation, proofing and dough handling
- Creative and passionate about developing current products
- Open to experimenting with new flavours, ingredients and baking techniques
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Reliable, punctual and organized
- Able to work early mornings and weekends as required

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
