Our team provides individualized behavioural support to children and youth, using a neuroaffirming approach that recognizes each individual's strengths, communication style, needs, and unique way of experiencing the world.

We work collaboratively with families and our clinical team to create meaningful goals that support participation, independence, communication, and quality of life across everyday environments.

We are currently looking for a compassionate and motivated Behaviour Therapist to join our growing team and provide direct therapy services to children and youth up to 18 years of age.

The Role

As a Behaviour Therapist, you will provide individualized 1:1 behavioural intervention in clients' homes and community settings. You will work under the clinical supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) and collaborate with families and other members of the treatment team.

Our clients primarily have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and may also have other developmental, behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs.

Responsibilities

- Provide individualized 1:1 behavioural intervention in clients' homes and community settings
- Implement individualized treatment programs under the supervision of an RBA
- Follow clinical programming and implement teaching strategies as outlined by the supervising clinician
- Collect and accurately record session data
- Complete session notes and other required documentation
- Support the development of communication, social, adaptive, play, academic, and daily living skills
- Support clients in generalizing skills across people, environments, and activities
- Respond appropriately to challenging or complex behaviours using approved,



evidence-informed strategies
- Build positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with clients and families
- Communicate professionally with parents/caregivers and members of the clinical team
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow all organizational and professional policies
- Travel to clients' homes and community locations throughout Mississauga and Brampton

Qualifications

Required:

- Minimum 1 year of experience providing behavioural therapy or working directly with children with ASD/developmental needs
- Diploma or degree in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Autism/Behavioural Science, Child and Youth Care, or a related field
- Degree is preferred; candidates with a relevant diploma and appropriate hands-on experience will also be considered
- Experience working with children with ASD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills




- Ability to work independently while following clinical direction and supervision
- Ability to travel reliably to clients' homes and community settings
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Appropriate qualified liability/insurance coverage for the role
- Commitment to respectful, neuroaffirming, and individualized care
