Excelitas is looking for a passionate Packaging Engineer for R&D; in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. Play a key role in developing packaging solutions for semiconductor technologies.

In this energetic full time position, you will work on the design and assembly processes for lasers and photo-detectors used in various industries. Oversee every phase of the product lifecycle, ensuring that quality specifications are satisfied from concept through production support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Simulate and analyze thermal and mechanical properties of packaging
• Develop assembly jigs and processes for product prototypes
• Ensure thorough evaluation and qualification for recent products
• Collaborate with suppliers on specifications and product costing




• Engage in technical discussions during customer liaison meetings

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• Proficient in SolidWorks; experience with ANSYS is helpful
• Knowledge of electro-optical components and reliability testing
• Strong analytical skills and bilingual in French and English
• Ability to handle multiple projects effectively and independently
