RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Position Summary

Department / Research Program: Obstetrics and Gynecology

Under the EndoCARES MUHC Clinic, the physiotherapist will assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with endometriosis and other gynecologic conditions, and support the successful conduct of clinical research studies. The EndoCARES MUHC clinic is a subspecialty service for complex, multi-organ endometriosis and serves to offer not only a multidisciplinary approach to the condition, but also advance basic and clinical research in the field.

General Duties

- Assesses patients for protocol eligibility through personal interviews and/or medical record review in in-patient and out-patient settings,
- Maintains, completes and updates, concomitant and adverse event logs and questionnaires and protocol specific source documentation,
- Completes patient charting accordingly,




- Coordinates and performs protocol related tests, i.e. urine collection and Electrocardiogram (ECG), protocol-specific assessments and interventions, especially those requiring physiotherapy expertise
- Recruits research participants, prescreens patients and obtains informed consent,
- Conduct other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills

- This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral and written French.
- An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients, researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Able to work under minimal supervision,
- Self-directed, flexible, organized and sense of ethics,
- SoCRA accreditation is an asset
- Clinical research experience is an asset,
- Knowledge of international,



federal and provincial laws and regulations governing clinical research (ICH-GCP) is an asset.

Status : Temporary Occasional

Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and work expérience.
