Job Overview

We are looking for a driven Confined Space Safety Attendant & Rescuer to protect the people working in confined spaces. You will lead safety procedures from the front, respond quickly and decisively when a rescue is needed, and keep every entry secure from start to finish. Your leadership and sharp judgment will make the difference in an emergency, and your commitment to a safety-first culture will set the standard for the whole team.

You will also make sure every operation meets all applicable safety regulations.

Duties

- Start as a Confined Space Attendant. Once you've proven you're ready, you move up to Confined Space Rescuer
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols on every confined space job and stop unsafe work before anyone gets hurt
- Take part in risk assessments before every entry and make sure all safety measures are in place
- Once you're a Rescuer, act as the primary rescuer during emergencies and carry out fast, effective rescues
- Lead safety briefings and training sessions for the crew working the space
- Keep records accurate and up to date: hazard assessment , atmospheric conditions, entry log, rescue plan, incident immediate action plan, and equipment checks




- Coordinate with emergency management teams and first responders during incidents
- Inspect vehicles, rescue equipment, breathing apparatus, harnesses, and communication devices before every job so everything is ready to go

Qualifications

- Prior experience in safety supervision or rescue roles within industrial or construction and large infrastructure environments preferred
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and confidently
- Strong understanding of emergency management principles related to confined space rescue operations
- Certification in confined space or/and technical rescue is highly desirable
- SCBA training is an asset
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead teams and liaise with emergency responders
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and under physically demanding conditions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through vigilance and adherence to safety standards

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36.0 per week
